HC2 Hybridisation chamber. Semi-disposable device specifically designed for performing Nucleic acid hybridisation on 25x75mm Micro-Array Glass Slides. The chamber ensures that the slide is kept clean and that the small volume of hybridisation buffer normally under a coverslip does not dry out during incubation/hybridisation. The chambers can be used in air incubators or waterbaths. Each chamber incorporates a dual humidity system to prevent evaporation of the hybridisation buffer. At either end of the chamber are recessed wells to accommodate a small volume of water or hybridisation buffer (approx. 600ul/well) to humidify the chamber atmosphere. An absorbent paper is supplied to rapidly humidify the chamber at high hybridisation temperatures. Manufactured in an inert polymer with similar chemical resistant properties to that of polypropylene; the chambers have been tested at hybridisation temperatures up to 65°C and can be autoclaved if required.
