Safety cabinet, Biological Class II, 800mm wide

The Guardian range of recirculating Class II Biological Safety Cabinets provide the best features available in Class II Cabinets. As standard, they are provided with a motorised sash, high-intensity LED lighting, low power consumption, low noise and VisionaireTM full colour touch screen control. A number of options are available, including double outlet HEPA filters, base stands, gas supplies and a host of others. 

The cabinets are designed and independently type tested according to Class II European standard BSEN 12469:2000 and are available in 800mm, 1200mm or 1800mm widths with one outlet HEPA filter. All sizes are available with 2 outlet HEPA filters (to ensure compliance with BS5276:1992) as one of the many options available. Standard features include a fully closing sliding sash and constantly displayed inflow and down flow air velocities.

• Visionaire® flush mounted colour touch screen showing all cabinet operating parameters.
• Low energy and low noise level fans ensuring true laminar and turbulence- free air flow distribution throughout the chamber.
• Adjustable intensity LED lighting and a high angled front window for optimal viewing and supervision at either seated or standing positions.
• UV lighting and full length electronic sliding toughened glass sash which closes in full when the cabinet is not in use or requires sterilisation.
• The front of the cabinet lifts up ensuring easy access to all internal surfaces.
• Multiple sectioned removable mirror finish 316 grade stainless steel work surface which is quick and easy to remove for cleaning or autoclaving.
• Profiled air in-take grilles across the entire width of the cabinet ensure good air flow even with an operator in position.
• Electronic door closure, protected by IRISS – an infra-red beam across the base of the sash opening. Should this beam be broken by inadvertently positioned apparatus or hands, the closure of the door will be aborted, thus preventing any potential injuries, instrument or sash damage.
• The cabinet can be pre-programmed to start or finish at a pre-programmed time to avoid wasting time during the cabinet purge at the start and end of the day.
• The inbuilt UV light can be used to sterilise the entire working chamber, plus connection to a proprietary VHP or formalin system is possible to ensure the safe and complete sterilisation of the cabinet and filters.
• Fitted with a user programmable timer allowing the light on time and delay time to be easily programmed.
• To comply with British and European Standards, the cabinet can only be controlled by a user pin-code ensuring that only authorised and trained users can operate the equipment unsupervised.
• In addition to operator pin access, the laboratory supervisor has their own pin access to change various cabinet settings such as audible alarm or key press cancellation (essential in ‘quiet’ labs), control of electrical sockets and user access.
• All service and adjustment procedures are performed from the front or top of the cabinet, including exchange of HEPA filters and adjustments to circuit boards and sensors. This ensures the cabinet can stay in situ without making any positional changes within the laboratory during maintenance.
• Two standard electrical sockets are supplied fitted into the rear of the cabinet; these are independently fused and also controlled from the Visionaire Touch Screen. ISO Class 4 Clean Air to BS EN ISO 14644-1 (1999)
